Adelaide's fashionistas descended upon the Rundle Mall precinct over the last weekend in a celebration of the fabulous, eclectic and exciting world of fashion.
Unofficially kicking off festivities was the Rundle Mall Plaza runway launch event, held in a completely transformed dining precinct on the first floor, overlooking Rundle Mall. With Gerard McCabe featured on the runway amongst local plaza brands, some of our most remarkable and impressive designs were showcased to the industry's leading personalities and influencers.
Key looks included a tanzanite and diamond dream of multi layered pendants flawlessly showing off our signature Kilimanjaro designs, enhanced with an eye-popping 14ct diamond tennis bracelet and 16ct Tanzanite ring. Pink diamonds were on parade with a specially loaned earring and necklace set from Pink Kimberley, and our Gerard McCabe designed Amore and Eagle rings.
As a luxurious treat, guests were welcomed to our diamond bar post-show to see a selection of our jewels up close, while enjoying delicious gourmet canapes and local wine. Our Rundle Mall staff and executive team were thrilled to take part in the event, with the opportunity to combine emerging designer fashion with the allure of fabulous high end jewellery.
On Friday our Rundle Mall and Adelaide Arcade boutiques were transformed into pink paradise for our exclusive Pink Diamond Party. With hundreds of rare ready-to-wear pink diamond designs available to purchase, as well as several loose Argyle origin pink diamond stones for sale, the day was abuzz with excitement.
Clients were treated to local South Australian pink sparkling wine and delicious handmade pink macarons while they browsed Adelaide's largest collection of pink diamond designs. Among the array of spectacular designs were a breathtaking pink diamond earring and pendant set in an eye-catching floral motif, and an absolutely show-stopping loose Argyle tender pink diamond gemstone.
With the Rundle Mall precinct positively electric with excitement all day, the festival was officially launched at the Gawler Place canopy on Friday afternoon. Hosted by media and lifestyle personality Belinda Sloane, emerging vocal sensation MANE took centre stage dressed in Gerard McCabe jewellery.
MANE wore our Kilimanjaro tanzanite pendant layered in a stack with our Riviera diamond necklet, Kilimanjaro tanzanite ring, Arnia aquamarine ring, a 3ct diamond bangle and a single diamond hoop earring. Under the suitably dramatic (but dry) storm clouds, MANE delivered a powerful and glittering performance that perfectly set the tone of the festival.
Congratulations to our incredible and hard working team in delivering three incredible activations for Adelaide's biggest fashion weekend. To view our designs and to find out more about Gerard McCabe visit www.gerardmccabe.com.au.
