SOMETHING BLUE...

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and A Silver Sixpence in Your Shoe.

Incorporating something blue into your wedding outfit is a lovely part of this tradition. The blue standing for purity, love and fidelity. Brides are increasingly becoming more creative with their Something Blue.

Here are some of our favourites:

Blue Shoes - there are some wonderful shoes out there in blue - have some fun on your feet! These blue Manolo Blahnik Satin Evening Pumps have become quite the statement piece for many brides - the price tag might be a bit of a reach for some. Nine West have a large range of blue shoes - in lots of different tones and styles.

Sew a little something - Have your wedding date embroidered into the hem of your dress in a blue thread - You could do the same on your Grooms shirt cuff. This will make a beautiful photo for your photographer also. The Duchess of Sussex recently admitted to sewing a patch of the blue dress she wore on her first date with Prince Harry, to the inside her spectacular wedding dress. A romantic touch that won't go unnoticed, and adds a little more sentiment to the dress of your dreams.

Arrive in style with a blue car - you need to have transport to get to your reception right, and what better way to stand out? Organise a blue car, and incorporate this tradition in a unique and memorable way.

Leave a little to the imagination - Your something blue doesn't have to be noticeable, right? You can purchase some blue lingerie or garter for the nuptials, and know that the tradition has certainly been adhered to.

Get creative with the bouquet - Blue flowers are the perfect way to add a subtle colour to your bouquet, and nothing garish! Think beautiful blooms of hydrangea, veronica and hyacinth.

Maybe a handkerchief - This could be something borrowed and something blue for the special day. If you've got pockets in your dress, perfect! If you don't, think of a place you could put this! We're sure it'll come in handy.

Diamonds & Gemstones - There's no better way to adorn your wedding dress than with some spectacular jewellery. If you've got some family heirlooms that incorporate blue gemstones then that's perfect! It'll only further enhance the magnificent nature of your dress and allow you to carry your loved ones with you on this special day.

Blue stones can also make stunning engagement rings. A piece for your wedding day is an option too - a special occasion ring or pendant. There are a variety of breathtaking stones to consider, but nothing as deeply blue and enchanting than the Kilimanjaro Collection
