NATURE'S INFLUENCE IN OUR WORLD
For centuries nature has influenced artists, writers, poets and designers. We see it influence everyday life from the clothes you wear to the mood you are in. Nature’s beauty is organic, something that people have tried to emulate for centuries. It is contradictorily so complex and yet so simple that it has held mankind in awe since the dawn of time.
There is no wonder then that we see floral influences in jewellery designs. Flowers after all represent love in its sincerest form. You only have to look at Valentine’s day where a red rose shows the love between two partners or a romantic movie where prince charming brings a bouquet of flowers to his princess.
HOW NATURE INSPIRES OUR COLLECTION
Gerard McCabe’s design team, led by Senior Jewellery Designer Nazanin, is heavily influenced by nature. Its influence can be seen in their work to beautifully represent love and appreciation for one’s partner or loved one.
“Nature is the best teacher - It is perfect”
Nazanin, Bespoke Design Director
“Flowers are symbols of Love. Everybody loves the idea of a forever love, flowers are exciting. We like looking at flowers in our houses, our work or even when we are walking out and about. We actually enjoy spending a minute or two admiring them. They can stop time”.
“They bring a guaranteed smile to our faces and how you present them enhances the moment."
Lily Engagement Ring Design by Gerard McCabe
I believe an everlasting flower in a piece of jewellery is eternal and a great way to flatter your partner. It can remind you of special memories or moments you have had together.
A number of our engagement rings have been heavily influenced by nature, featuring floral designs to help symbolise love and commitment.

FLOWERS, GOLD COLOURS AND THEIR MEANINGS FROM NAZANIN
“Considering different colours of roses and their meaning, Rose gold can represent red roses which are one of the most universal of all symbols, the red rose represents true love. Yellow gold is for yellow roses which send a message of appreciation and platonic love. Representing feelings of joy and delight. And white roses patterned in white gold represents unity, virtue, and the pureness of new love”.
Our inspired collection goes beyond engagement rings and into bridal jewellery and our Bloom and Wildflower jewellery collections. These pieces are beautifully elegant, whimsical and are perfect for the hopeless romantic in all of us, along with Gerard McCabe's strict diamond standards.
