This June we’re kicking up our heels to celebrate the Rundle Mall boutique’s 20 year anniversary, a fabulous milestone for both the Rundle Mall boutique and the company as a whole. A credit to our valued clients and staff members that have taken part in this amazing journey with us over the past 20 years. Without them, we wouldn’t be reaching this great landmark.
The Opening of the Rundle Mall Plaza Boutique on the 2nd of June 2002
The Rundle Mall boutique first opened its doors on the 2nd of June 2002, the space became available after the David Jones department store moved to the Adelaide Central Plaza site in 2000 and the site redeveloped as Rundle Mall Plaza. The boutique is a uniquely shaped triangular space, offering maximum window space, and lots of room to beautifully display breathtaking jewellery. Catching the attention of passers-by, that stop to admire the wonderful jewellery and fabulous window displays.

Gerard’s fabulous rapport with suppliers ensured that the windows were immediately filled with beautiful jewellery, making a designer jewellery statement in Rundle Mall from Day 1.

Along with the brand, Gerard McCabe’s Rundle Mall boutique has evolved over the years, withstanding the test of time. Other retailers around them have come and gone, but Gerard McCabe’s Rundle Mall boutique has gone from strength to strength over the past 20 years.

A family business, the boutique’s fantastic salespeople have been a part of lots of sentimental moments, these include engagements, weddings, christenings, anniversaries and other special occasions! Having affectionately been blamed by their clients for many babies and other milestones; the eldest baby that was the result of a Gerard McCabe engagement ring purchase in this boutique is now 19 years old.
Not only has Gerard McCabe’s Rundle Mall boutique developed strong relationships with the local community, but they have also developed lasting relationships with the many tourists that regularly visit South Australia. The Gerard McCabe brand and its wonderful jewellery are known and worn by people all around the world.
