2KW Presents: Gerard McCabe Jewellers at ADL Fashion Week

Statement jewels, sparkling wine and sweeping city views. We couldn't imagine a better way to celebrate ADL Fashion Week.

On Saturday 10 October, we welcomed guests to 2KW Bar & Restaurant for 2KW Presents: Gerard McCabe Jewellers, a morning soirée celebrating exceptional jewellery, personal style and the finer things in life.

Set against Adelaide's city skyline, the event brought together three iconic South Australian businesses: Gerard McCabe Jewellers, 2KW Bar & Restaurant and Deviation Road Wines, for a unique experience combining fine jewellery, fashion, sparkling wine and an exquisite brunch.

From showstopping statement pieces to never-before-seen designs, guests were invited to explore our collection, try on their favourites and discover extraordinary jewels up close. The morning also offered an exclusive first look at exciting new designs yet to be released to the public.

Reflecting on the experience, Justin McCabe shared: “What a unique way to experience our brand. It really showcased a great partnership between three iconic South Australian businesses.”

SPARKLES & SPARKLING WINE

Emceed by Adelaide media personality Jade Robran, the morning offered guests a closer look at the inspiration, craftsmanship and character behind our collection. DJ Kai Wardy provided the tunes throughout the morning, creating the perfect soundtrack for the occasion.

Justin shared insights into the selection of jewels on display, while Kate Laurie of Deviation Road Wines, introduced guests to the sparkling wines accompanying each showcase. 

Guests were invited to explore four distinct jewellery personalities: The Muse, The Romantic, The Siren and The Icon. Each had its own signature style, carefully paired with a different Deviation Road sparkling wine to complement the mood and character of the jewels.

The Muse | Effortless Elegance

Glamour, understated confidence and timeless sophistication.

The Muse gravitates towards sparkling white diamonds, luminous pearls and luxurious emeralds. Her jewellery makes an impression without ever needing to shout.

Paired with Deviation Road's Loftia Brut, this showcase celebrated effortless refinement. Crisp and elegant, the sparkling wine offers fresh notes of pear, citrus and pastry.

The Romantic | A Celebration of Colour

Delicate, feminine and utterly captivating.

The Romantic follows her heart, with pink diamonds, vibrant tourmalines and richly coloured rubies reflecting her passion for colour.

Her accompanying wine was Deviation Road's Altair Sparkling Rosé, a multi-vintage blend balancing expressive red-fruit aromas with refreshing citrus and a creamy finish.

The Siren | Bold and Captivating

For those who were born to make a statement.

Bold, seductive and unapologetically distinctive, The Siren pairs diamonds and rubies with unique vintage jewellery that commands attention.

Her showcase was accompanied by Deviation Road's 2022 Southcote Blanc de Noirs, crafted from Pinot Noir grapes. With aromas of red apple, quince and raspberry, complemented by toasted biscuit notes, it brings both richness and finesse.

The Icon | Rare and Exceptional

Unforgettable by nature. Extraordinary by design.

The Icon embraces exceptional tanzanite, sapphires, opals and high jewellery. Her style is distinctive, her choices unmistakable, and only the extraordinary will do.

The final showcase featured Deviation Road's 2018 Beltana Blanc de Blancs, a prestige cuvée made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the Adelaide Hills. Extended ageing lends depth and complexity to this refined sparkling wine.

Together, the four showcases celebrated the many ways jewellery can express personality, from understated elegance and romantic colour to bold individuality and extraordinary rarity.

JEWELLERY HIGHLIGHTS

Adding to the excitement of the morning, guests were treated to an exclusive first look at several exceptional pieces not yet released to the public. Highlights included a spectacular 23.79ct emerald cut aquamarine ring, accented with trilliant cut aquamarine shoulders and brilliant cut diamonds, and a striking 20.10ct star sapphire ring featuring a cabochon cut centre stone and a diamond-set band.

Guests also had a first look at two captivating additions to our diamond collection: a yellow and white diamond tennis bracelet, pairing cushion cut fancy yellow diamonds with brilliant white diamonds, and a coordinating tennis necklace featuring five oval cut yellow diamonds totalling over five carats.

From spectacular coloured gemstones to bold diamond designs, these new arrivals offered an exciting glimpse of what's to come at Gerard McCabe Jewellers.
